We (Global Bullion and Vault Ltd) are a safe deposit box facility located at Unit-D, 18-20 Elwick road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 1PF

We take privacy of all our customers and employees very seriously and committed to safeguard them.  In order for us to be able to offer you our products and services, we are obliged to set and communicate our Privacy Policy Statement under GDPR rules and regulations; lawfully, fairly and transparently.

Type and Purpose of personal information we collect

We require to collect and process certain personal information to effectively and securely, offer and administer our secure custodial service (safe deposit box) to our customers. We are also required to collect and process certain personal information to comply with applicable law(s).

We are required to collect the following information but not limited to:

  • Name and Date of birth.
  • Home or business address, phone/mobile number, e-mail address.
  • Scanned copy or photocopy of photo identification documents.
  • Scanned copy or photocopy of address proof documents.
  • Biometric records like fingerprint for secure verification and access purpose.
  • CCTV recordings and/or images for security purpose.
  • Bank details for refund and direct debit purpose.

Why do we need to collect your personal information?

  • To effectively fulfil our contractual obligation to you in providing secure custodial service (safe deposit box) that you agree and accept according to our terms and conditions.
  • To meet our legal obligation as a safe deposit box facility, in detecting and in preventing Money laundering and finance of terrorism, as required by The Money laundering, Terrorist financing and Transfer of funds(information on the payer) Regulations 2017.
  • To meet our legal obligation in complying with the Sanction law and reporting suspicious activity to the National Crime Agency under the Part 7 of Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
  • For the safety of all persons present in our premises.

Disclosing your personal data

We WILL NOT disclose your personal information to any third parties BUT in situations where:

  • we are required/instructed by the law to meet our above-mentioned obligations.
  • we need to share your information as an essential part of secure custodial service we provide to you, in arranging Free Insurance Cover and in setting arrangments for your rental fees collection, through the partners we select to work with.

We may need to share your personal information if the ownership of our business is sold to or shared with new entity.

How long will we retain your personal information?

We will keep your personal data only for the period they are required to conduct necessary processes, such as for accounting purpose, security purpose or to meet legal obligations.

However, in general we will only keep your personal information during your contract period with us and we will delete them when you terminate your contract rightfully.

Your data security

We will keep your personal date as reasonably secure as we can.

We will have strict procedures in place in handling your data safely and limit access to only required individuals/parties like our employees or suppliers or contractors, to carry out the required functions by them in relation to our contractual obligation to you. We also make sure that only the required extent of your personal information is accessible to them.

GDPR has given the following rights to individuals on their personal information we hold.

  • Your right to review, verify, correct, or update your data.
  • Your right to erasure your data.
  • Your right to object or restrict processing your data.
  • Your right to transfer your data to another parties.
